Retreat Weekend

The FCJ Young Adult Network retreat took place last weekend in Salford, UK. It was a really good experince with participants from North, South, East and West!

We gathered on Friday evening and began our time together with an evening prayer. Then on Saturday morning there was an invitation to reflect on where and how God had been present throughout our lives. Later in the day we spent time looking at the person of Jesus, and we prayed with different aspects of Jesus’ life and ministry. Another significant part of the day was the time for personal prayer and ‘space’ and people used this time in different ways – some enjoyed the silence, others took the opportunity for a walk or to talk about their faith life and prayer with a guide. In the evening we used teh Examen prayer to reflect on our day. On Sunday the session helped us to look at areas of our life in which we felt God was inviting us to move, grow, change. We ended our retreat with Mass and a meal – it was good to see how friendships had begun to form and develop over such a short time!

Here are a few photos!

  1. The retreat was a lovely and very challenging experience. Thank you to Lynne, Mary Anne and Anouska for running/facilitating it so beautifully and to everyone present for making it what it was.
