THE NOVICE’S THIRTY DAY RETREAT: A SECOND REST DAY…

by

Following a long Second Week we are now enjoying a well earned rest day.  Happily the novices have “Chosen Christ” and desire enthusiastically to follow him for the whole of their lives…Today we have the opportunity to rest and relax a little before beginning Week Three.  During this Week the novices will be able to confirm their choice to respond wholeheartedly to the Call of Christ.  This confirmation will not come easily because in Week Three they will be walking the Way of the Cross with Christ.  Please keep the retreat in your prayers as we keep you in ours.

I continue to keep all of you in my prayer and I thank you for keeping me in yours.
The third week is indeed a time of great compassion. For all of you in prayer I ask for the grace to know Jesus more intimately, to love him more dearly, and to follow him more closely. May love lead all of you to be with Jesus in his suffering. May all be granted the grace to stay with Jesus, to be present to him, even when words fail and we know we are powerless to end his suffering, as were the women at the foot of the cross.
In doing so, may all become more like the One we walk with to Calvary: more loving, more faithful, more generous, and more compassionate.

    Dear Clare and All,
My prayers continue to be with you. May this walk in the Third Week be blessed in every way for each one as you come to know Jesus more clearly, love Him more dearly and follow Him more nearly.
    In Companionship,
    Ann Marie, fcJ
