St. Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre, North Wales

by

I recently had three days in beautiful St. Beuno’s, North Wales, as a guest of Mary fcJ, a resident team member.  Great to meet Afra and Lynne, our fcJ companions doing the ten week course in spiritual direction and retreat giving.  Among the other visitors were two former pupils of Lark Hill Convent fcJ , Preston, where I was at school.  One of them, my contemporary at school, is a deacon, soon to be ordained as an Anglican priest, and will serve in the Wirral (near Liverpool).  She had drifted away from churchgoing, but was asked to play the organ for an Anglican parish and one thing led to another!  She told me that 90 children attended her crib and Christingle service last Christmas Eve. I felt so blessed by meeting her and sharing her joy.  Indeed ‘there are many rooms in my Father’s house’.  Thank God!

Thanks for sharing your experience at St Beuno’s Rachel. Isn’t it amazing how God “catches us” in one way or another?
