COMPANIONSHIP IN A GAME OF RUMMIKUB…

by

One thing that we love doing in our community is playing the board game Rummikub – a not too dificult game with numbers.  When we have a quiet evening we often get out the Rummikub and play a game or two.  We don’t play exactly by the rules – when the first person goes out we don’t end the game we play until everyone is finished.  One extra feature of playing this game in our community is that we can also ask for help which is something that players like me need!  It’s good fun and relaxing and really does build a sense of companionship…Any one for Rummikub?

I love playing Rummikub. I first encountered the game when in the novitiate in France. It was certainly a community builder as the numbers broke down the challneges of language that exist in a multi-lingual community, and of course it was fun! When you’re next in England, and I am there too Clare, let’s have a game.
