At 9.15 on Christmas morning our two FCJ groups here in Yogya met in the car park of our local hospital.  It has been our practice for several years to spend the morning visiting Christian patients.  For those patients who are well enough (and who can cope with our singing) we sing a carol or two.  Others prefer a little quiet conversation and a simple prayer.  For all of us it was a deeply touching experience.  After a couple of hours’ visiting we returned home for a welcome cup of tea and then it was all hands to the kitchen as we worked together to prepare the Christmas dinner.  Late in the afternoon we gathered in our little chapel for prayer and then enjoyed a delicious meal and some good conversation.  We were joined by a number of guests, all of whom enjoyed themselves as much as we did!
